Contra Coffee and Tea is a very unique approach to coffee and tea, where they develop and serve special blends of concoctions on tap, similar to a brewery. Contra is an Asian American led small business based in Orange, CA. They’ve developed and embraced a great community in the area through building relationships with their customers and delivering quality service, making every interaction worthwhile.

I was tasked with a multitude of projects including branding, print & packaging products, apparel design, and window decals.

WINDOW DISPLAY

POSTERS &

After operating out of a mobile taproom, Contra secured their official home base in Old Towne Orange (Orange, CA).

Leading up to their grand opening, I was asked to create poster artwork to help bring awareness to the Orange community of Contra opening up shop. The use of playful and fluid-like background illustrations is influenced by both the hand crafted drinks and constant movement of what’s to come.

& GLASSWARE

GROWLER

Artwork graphics created for new Contra growlers and glassware. Contra growlers became a fun collectible item with new releases overtime.

This provided me with an opportunity to be one of Contra’s first artist/designer collaborated releases for the brand, opening the door for Contra to further this idea and engage other artists and designers.

Glassware designs were applied to 12oz and 16oz glasses, served to customers who were enjoying their drinks while in shop. The glassware design is reflective of the artwork provided for the growlers.
